after the wedding.
OK, so my speech wasn’t quite what I claimed it would be in the last post. I actually wrote something of my own and managed to spit the words out without bawling like a little baby. I was shaking like a maniac, hands and voice, but I still got it out. And I actually have to say it wasn’t half bad. Some lovely guests even told me it was the best maid of honor speech they’ve ever heard. Whee! You have no idea how happy that makes me.

I was pretty obsessed with the fact that the wedding weather was absolutely amazingly beautiful here in Boston. So pretty that we went to the Public Garden to do professional photos. It was crazy being part of the wedding party and have everyone stopping to stare and take their own photos of us! Plus, two duck tours drove by and quacked and yelled congratulations. And my sis and Adam took photos outside the ice cream truck at Arlington. I loved every minute of it.

So, the wedding’s over and at first I thought I’d be all “What now?” But in a little more than a month I am going to have SO much going on, that I really appreciate this bit of piece and quiet. Plus it gives me an opportunity to seriously get on track with all my work stuff and maybe find a couple other projects to pursue.
Anyway, check out the rest of my 2009 schedule:
Mid-October I’m headed to Chicago! Only for 2 days and on a top-secret assignment. I think I’ll be able to share with you soon, but for now I’m mum. Let’s just say this might be one of the most interesting, coolest things I’ve ever done. And I cannot wait!
Early-November I’m going to San Francisco for the Foodbuzz Blogger Festival. Again, I’m SO excited for this. Especially since I’m missing out on BlogHer Food (boo hoo). I haven’t been to San Fran since second grade and even though I’ll only be there for 2 nights, I’m psyched.
I can only go to San Fran for 2 nights because the next week I’m taking the trip of my life. To Hawaii!! My sister and her new hubby will be there for 3 months working (right after their Aruba honeymoon…. tough life!), so naturally I’m visiting for 10 days. They’ll be on the big island (Hilo) but we’ll also be making a weekend getaway to Honolulu. Been before? Tips, advice, etc., do share!!

I’m pretty obsessed with the rest of 2009, though it will leave me broke as a joke. I have a feeling it will be well-worth it. Now I’m off to continue my weekend of relaxing before heading to the Red Sox game tomorrow. It was supposed to be a nice afternoon game, but now that it’s a double-header, it’s at 5 instead. Ah well, it will still be a good one!
