Everyone loves a Boston girl. This is the story of one Boston girl's adventures in the city, in blogging, and in getting through those crazy 20-something years.

I'm a writer by trade. And by passion. I'm a lover of food, friends, and all things Boston. I listen to music pretty much 24/7 and idolize Martha Stewart. I love my job(s), my life, and this city. Follow me on Twitter! @Susie

it’s almost friday.

I went to see Jason Mraz last night and once again, he was perfectly lovely. I’d probably follow the guy around the country if possible, but that might classify me as a stalker, which is something I probably shouldn’t get involved in. But seriously, if you ever need to get in a good mood, go to a Jason Mraz show. He’s is the most positive, uplifting person. He gets the whole audience so into his shows, has a great sense of humor, and makes you feel like it’s OK to just let loose and have a good time. In fact, one of his favorite quotes is, “Don’t let your mind stop you from having a good time,” something i think many more people should take into consideration. Especially me. I tend to over-think things WAY too much.

Julie and Julia comes out tomorrow and clearly if you know me, you know this is like the most ideal movie ever for me. I loved the book and think the movie looks pretty fabulous. I wanted to try to finish Julia Child’s My Life in France before seeing it, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. Unless I put aside all my work and become a speed reader for the rest of the day.

Today equals exactly one month until my sister’s wedding. Freaking out. I know I shouldn’t be, but I still have to write my speech which is making me crazy (and all emotional) and get my dress hemmed (and lose 832 pounds) and make a bunch of appointments and do a bunch of other things. I cannot believe my sister is going to be a married woman!! And I can’t believe that in one month all of this is going to be over. But one of my very best friends just asked me to be in her 2010 wedding, so that means wedding celebrations are not even close to being over for me. One thing I can say is thank God I love all these future husbands! It makes planning and celebrating so much more fun.
