Everyone loves a Boston girl. This is the story of one Boston girl's adventures in the city, in blogging, and in getting through those crazy 20-something years.

I'm a writer by trade. And by passion. I'm a lover of food, friends, and all things Boston. I listen to music pretty much 24/7 and idolize Martha Stewart. I love my job(s), my life, and this city. Follow me on Twitter! @Susie

How excited am I to see Coldplay tonight? Incredibly crazily can’t sit still excited. This has the potential to be one of the most amazing shows I’ve been to (and I’ve been to a lot). I started liking Coldplay back in Senior year in high school and I vividly remember sitting at my computer in my sister’s room downloading music on Napster (with dial-up!). And yes, my new computer had a CD burner so I immediately put “Yellow” on a CD called “First Mix,” which also included the likes of Dispatch, Smash Mouth, Train, and more.

I’m a big fan of the new Coldplay album, but I really do love everything they have done. My all-time favorite song is probably “Warning Sign.” I obviously knew the song already, but when I heard it while watching The Last Kiss, I literally just sat there with tears streaming down my face. It was right during the time when the ex and I were in the process of seeing each other again after having broken up for a couple months. “When the truth is, I miss you….and I’m tired, I should not have let you go.” There were so many regrets and so much sadness and this song just totally said it all. “So I crawl back into your arms. Yes, I crawl back into your arms.”

Coldplay has songs that fit pretty much every part of my life, which is partly why I love them so much. And also why I’m going to be crying for the entire show. They just do that to me.

And don’t even get me started on the fact that I’m going to Ryan Adams in September. He’s pretty much my fave person in the world. And then there’s Jason Mraz in October and I’m pretty sure he’ll put on an amazing show.

In other music news, I’ve solved my bored at the gym dilemma. If you want music that will keep you seriously energized and entertained, download the new Girl Talk album. I’m not lying when I say it’s the best workout music in the world. AND if you go to their Myspace you can download it for however much you choose to pay. I’m telling you, this is the most fun music ever and it’s making me enjoy working out! I mean, where else can you hear Kanye, Britney, Jay-Z, Michael Jackson, Heart, Ludacris, Radiohead, Donna Summer, and tonnns more all together?? Yeah, that’s what I thought.

Also on my list of new favorite bands is Spiritualized. “Soul on Fire” is an amazing song but all of A&E is fab. “Baby, set my soul on fire. I got two little arms to hold on tight and I wanna take it higher.”

Cold Play is good….and “The Last Kiss” soundtrack is excellent, so well tailored to the film. Zach B. actually showed he could act too. I love Scrubs, but he wasn’t exactly pushed much in it.

Ok, now I really need to download Girl Talk. He is coming to BU in September, and it’s all anyone has been talking about. Plus, I’ve been listening to Miley Cyrus constantly at the gym, which is just…unacceptable for a 21 year old.

Just teared up watching the clip. I really felt that movie more than I think I realized until now…two years later and I still think about it often when I think about relationships.

    Also, read Sar’s Twitter. Damn.

Umm.. I pretty much agree with EVERYTHING you’ve written here. I love love love girl talk, and I’m so jealous that you get to see Coldplay. They played in Chicago right around the time I had to leave for vacation so I missed out on it.

    So? How was it?

    Gah! Jealousy.

Yet another music-loving similarity we have–Coldplay. My hubby actually was able to meet them back in 2003 at a show here in Denver before they got super-duper huge–although this was before we were married and he made ME stand out in the -2 degree weather (and took his friend to the meet and greet instead!!). We love them!! I have seen them three times, but I am jealous you got to see them on this tour!

Good call on the Girl Talk album, too–we have it, but I didn’t think to add it to my workout mix until now–must do!

    OMG favorite.movie.ever.

    Besides Garden State.

And I’m jealous. How was Coldplay???
