i’d rather laugh
Things that made me laugh this week (so far):
My mom calling while vacationing on the Vineyard with her friends, trying to set me up with her friend’s son. Umm, mom? I used to babysit for him. She informed me that he is now 21. Wtf. How did that happen? He was always a cutie and the sweetest kid to babysit for (probs because he was 35 at the time, ha). This made me laugh and then cry saying, “omg, how old am I???”
Walking by the ex on my way to meet my date. He was sitting in a restaurant, I walked by the window. Never seen someone’s head go down so fast. I wish I stopped and waved.
Pictures from 3 years ago. I laughed from the memories. And then cried because I cannot believe how skinny I was. But not really because it was a little gross. I must have just majorly grown up at age 23 because my diet has not changed and 3 years ago I was not working out at all. Baffling, but I always was a late bloomer.
The fact that I couldn’t get the Internet to work on my iPhone. Sara tried helping me and suggested I try turning it off. Umm, how? She had to do it for me. And I call myself a technology writer? At least I can laugh at myself. I still haven’t fully figured out my Blackberry, so learning the iPhone feels a bit overwhelming. Not complaining though.
A man at the Bleacher Bar at the Sox game on Wed. who was trying to start hardcore, serious chants in the last 2 outs of the 9th inning. My table was the only one humoring him. He appreciated it. Alas, his chants did not do a thing.
Sara and I going to a Yelp event and scoring Yelp chapstick, which is actually quite nice. It was fun to meet up with some Boston Yelpers and I am excited for the next event.
That this exists in Boston. The next time I have to move, I am so using Metrosexual Movers. Obviously.
Things that made me cry:
The Red Sox.
But I don’t really want to talk about that.
