Anyway, last night I went out to dinner with my sister, mom, and aunt. We went to Mistral...you can read my little review of it here. It was fabulous food, and delicious alcohol. Yes, I drank a dirty martini, 2.5 glasses of wine, and sambuca on the rocks. As my mom was driving me home, she looked at me and said, "I have never seen you drink that much, ever...are you OK?" I was fine, but when I got into my apartment, I just sat at my desk and couldn't do a thing. Finally, I drank a few glasses of water, blasted Sia on my iPod (if you haven't listened to her yet, YOU MUST), and crawled into bed. Was out like a light and woke up feeling fresh and fabulous. If that's not a good enough reason to have a couple glasses of wine every night, I don't know what is.

wine is good for you.

Glad you had a great night. I always seem to have awful sleep after a few drinks...what's up with that?
It depends on the night and perhaps on what I drink so sometimes I sleep ridiculously well and other times I feel like I'm constantly waking up.
But if wine makes me sleep better (usually does) then there's another reason for drinking a glass a day... besides the health benefits.
You are not the boss of what I listen to.
I could never drink that much in front of my mother... then again I am not from Boston!
Glad you had a wonderful evening and I am looking forward to seeing your review on Mistral!

yay for sleep! I feel your pain when on the quest for a good NIGHT'S sleep!
PS: one or two glasses of wine + Tylenol pm = 8 great hours of sleep
Pretty amusing that you consider going to bed at 1AM a good night's sleep :)
I'm also generally a night owl but I've been trying to get into a normal schedule. Difficult because I don't have to get to work until 9:30 and it's literally around the corner from me.
On an unrelated note, I fell asleep last night with my light on and a half-full glass of wine on my desk, so take from that what you will.
you mentioned sia!
are you a six feet under fan? because i pretty much ball my eyes out during the last five minutes of the series finale EVERY SINGLE TIME. like when they started playing episodes on bravo and i came home from work one day and the series finale was on. and so of course i had to watch.
my boyfriend got home and there i was, sitting on the couch, SOBBING.
sia. breathe me. sigh.
I sleep terribly after a couple glasses of wine!! I think it's because I'm getting old. Sigh.
Haha, sounds like a great night. I always sleep well after drinking wine. :)
Ohhhh I love Sia. I'm with mrhe! You think 1am is early?! Woa.
I can't imagine going to bed at 3am every night. I would die!
