don't mention it.

So, hi. What do you want to talk about? We could talk about how the Patriots had the perfect regular season and then lost it all in the Super Bowl. We could, really. But why would we want to? After the game ended, we promptly turned to a channel that had nothing to do with football and tried not to mention it for the rest of the evening. I feel like most of Boston did the same thing. If anyone tried to bring the game up, the other person would say, "can we please not talk about this??" So we didn't. And we're still not. And really, what's to talk about? We lost and it's sad, horrible, and depressing, but we are Boston. These are the things we go through. The things that make us stronger as a city and community. It almost wouldn't be right if we had won. I mean, God forbid we win the World Series AND Super Bowl. So, let's just not talk about it.

Instead, let's talk about how I played Wii for my first time last night. And how my arms seriously hurt today. And how pathetic and sad that is. After my first fitness test, they told me I was 59 years old. When I did it a second time, I managed to get down to 39. Seriously sad. However, I still argue that your success in bowling should not have anything to do with determining your age. And just because I'm not strong enough to hit 10 home runs, doesn't mean I'm out of shape (I am). This has made me realize how badly I need to get in shape. Bowling anyone? I feel like Wii is one of the few things that would actually get my lazy butt into shape. Which is also quite sad.

This is just a sad post in general. But there are many, many things that are making me happy right now. Sports just aren't one of them.

*SIGH*

How depressed is the ENTIRE city of Boston right now?

(I am a Boston sports fan.)

By the way, can I ask which sketchy Chinese place you went to last week? That doesn't narrow it down, they're all sketchy, many serve alcohol after 2, often in the form of "cold tea."

Unfortunately I know exactly how you feel. Avoidance works pretty well... until you come across someone who isn't a Patriots (or in my case, Packers) fan and wants to rub it in that your team lost.

I also had a similar experience with Wii. It is sad, I agree.

Talked to Brother yesterday... he said the thick pallor over the city was ALMOST funny in Boston yesterday. Sorry, Charlie.

And I've yet to play Wii. I think I'm the only one left. I am Legend, only just for Wii.
And Kimberlie- niiice Faulty Towers ref.!

I love Wii. I remember how sore I was after I played the first time. And those fitness tests are horrible. I still can't hit more than 1 or 2 home runs. Have fun!!

At 4am Monday morning I was feverishly sobbing while huddled in a ball in the corner of my bedroom with my hands over my ears.

Nope, my stereo wasn't uncontrollably blaring the latest Maroon 5 album, but many have guessed that.

I was sad for our Patriots performance in the Super Bowl. Go ahead and taunt me...I dare you.

Just be prepared to be hunted down with the intensity of a thousand Suns.

With the Yankees in disarray, the Red Sox should have a strong season. Unless those upstarts from Toronto have something to say...

I got Mario Galaxy for the Wii. I'm so excited to play it.

Play bowling though makes me sore. Sad.

I love my wii! When I first got it, I thought I gave myself tennis elbow. Which would be sad, really, seeing as I don't play sports in real life. How would I explain that to my doctor?

I'm with you on not talking about What Happened On Sunday. Blah.

"We are Boston. These are things we go through."

So true, and so funny!

Not our best night.

Sorry about the game :(

But playing the Wii...fun! Yeah, my arms hurt like CRAZY after my first try.

Apparently there are Wii games that are actually designed for workouts. I know, crazy, right? But I really, really want to try them, because then I could justify canceling my gym membership and buying a Wii instead, haha.

I bowl just as badly on the Wii as I do in real life! I was Wii-less for a few weeks (it had to be sent back for repair), and I was pretty Wii-bummed. :(

My condolences on the game... although, I have a long hatred of Randy Moss... so I am glad he didn't win. He is a bad man!

Yayyyy! You played the wii the same weekend I bought it! I'm sorry about the Patriots, but at least you've won Superbowls in the past and experienced the excitement... my favorite team hasn't!
