I don’t necessarily long to be sad but I want to feel deeply, I want to care that much. Great list too. “Your Ex-Lover Is Dead” is a tie for first on my list with “Parting Gift” or “Oh Well” by Fiona Apple- Extraordinary Machine was most definitely my break-up album. Not quite sure who it was originally recorded with but when performed live they pick someone out of the audience. In other news, I'm not a big fan of sad songs, but this post makes me think of James Blunt's (Who, as a matter of fact, I saw live at the Hatch Shell last year) "Goodbye my Lover."
