[...] I realized the Internet is full of amazingness and I don’t care if I’m a dork. It was this Nablopomo post that connected me with To Kiss the Cook. Because we were both obsessed with Big Bird Goes to Japan. [...]

That Corrine Bailey Rae song can get stuck in my head for days. She may be the devil. Though you gotta love her voice.

Susie,
So some of the parallels here are really starting to freak me out. I'm going to need to bullet out this particular commentary so I hit everything.
- First, as of this morning, I did not know of a single other person outside my sibling and I that would have the same response to "Big Bird Goes to Japan." For a solid two years of my childhood I consistently hoped that staring at the moon and singing would free a Japanese princess. And I still say Ohayou for Good Morning when I'm craving sushi (which we've covered so I won't even bother revisiting). I also know that the Christmas Tree Shops are hardly a novelty for you noreasters but please understand my devout love for that shop as it has been passed down genetically from my bargain oriented mother. Buy the damn DVD.
-Second, saw Young Love at The Beat Kitchen about a year ago and I will second it as a workout song but also as a top 5 hit for getting sweaty in the company of strangers.
-Third, Young Folks is great because if you can't even stand to hear YOURSELF whistle, it's a head bopper. Currently in favor of all things Swedish.
-"Uptown Girl" is fantastic but I want my first dance with my Dad at my first wedding to be "Lullaby" by B Joel. His River of Dreams tour was my first real concert.
-I have to jump on the Enrique wagon and add "One Night Stand" to your list. Hero video was on repeat my fresh. Year in college and then "Just Want To Be With You" and "Escape" were regulars as well. Ok, I watched everything I could get my hands on, he is so incredibly sexy.
- I have soo much to catch up on but I'm inspired at my follow your lead with a similar list on Sunday when I'm too full to move.
