I thought I couldn't run long distances either until I joined the cross country team. It turns out, I can (sort of) run long distances. By long, I only mean 2 miles. I guess that doesn't really compare to a marathon (but with a lot of practice, I'm sure it's possible). Maybe you could try a half-marathon?

That's silly. I'll take sleeping over PBS any day. A friend of mine is trying to convince me I could run a half-marathon (she just did her first one). I've done 5Ks, but 13 or, even crazier, 26 miles? That's just outside of my comprehension. Supposedly anyone can do it with the proper training (well, except perhaps for paraplegics). Hell, even Will Ferrell ran one and you saw how out of shape he was in Old School.

Yeah, there are different ways to describe the hefty people: overweight, overfat, and obese. I prefer to use the descriptions "pleasantly plump", "chunky", and "Daaaaamnnn you fat!"

I watch shows like "The Biggest Loser" and "Celebrity Fit Club" so I can feel good about not being fat. The news always has bits about health issues. It's so depressing, which is why I don't see any reason to watch it.
