You know you’re having a good day when the cash register woman printing out your receipt at CVS says, “wowww” as 12 feet of receipt print.
And you enjoy ridiculous amounts of food and beer at Sunset Grill with your favorite people in the world.
And the Red Sox win game #5 in Cleveland.
And tomorrow is Friday.
Going to bed happy.

Lots to do, lots to do. Chelsee and I have a new goal of trying at least one new thing a week. We don’t take advantage of the wonderful city of Boston enough and we need to start doing stuff/trying things/going places, not to mention meeting people. We are the queens of hearing about events after they’re over and saying “why didn’t we hear about that?!?” So from now on we’re going to all kinds of random events and places, because why not? Plus, winter=super lameness for me and I need some motivation to get off my butt, or I will not. Just planning to “go out” is not enough for me. I won’t do it if it’s cold and blustery unless I have solid plans. Plus, I seriously get off on filling up my Google Calendar. I love filling it up but I hate checking it, so basically it’s just a sad form of entertainment for me.
So yeah, let me know if you have any ideas for fun going-ons around Boston. I can put them in my GCal and then forget about them. Tomorrow night is Sas’ birthday at one of our fave little restaurants for food and drinks. No, it’s not new, but it is fun and somewhere I could go over and over again. Plus, I have to write a paper on it for school. I know, tough life, right? Love it.
me and the birthday girl on my bday
P.S. Also, happy birthday to Olive Riley, the world’s oldest blogger. She’s 108. I wonder if I’ll still be blogging when I’m 108…

Just because I think they’re the cutest things in the world. And honestly, nothing very exciting happened in my day. And I really kind of miss having little dogs following me every step I take. Not quite enough to want a puppy any time soon…but a little bit.

And because I get a huge kick out of playing with my camera phone. I’ll get a life sometime soon. Promise.

I just got home from the Maroon 5 concert, which was amazing. I love going to concerts where I know every song and pretty much all the lyrics. I only wish they performed my new fave song, “Infatuation,” but they played so many of the old classics and some of the new hits, so I was pretty satisfied. Our seats were sooo good, which is a million times more than I can say about my usual seats at Garden concerts. I’ll post some pics when Chelsee gets hers up…no matter how good the seats were, my camera phone does Adam Levine’s butt no justice
On our way to the concert, we saw a really horrible incident. We got off the T at North Station and noticed some people standing around the escalators in a crowd. When we stopped and looked, we realized that a little puppy was stuck in the escalator! It was a little Pomeranian-like dog whose paw somehow got stuck at the top. People were freaking out because help was taking a long time to arrive and the poor dog couldn’t get loose. Finally a bunch of Boston police came, followed by a ton of Boston firemen with axes. Honestly, there were about 15 T workers, cops, and firemen just standing around trying to figure out what to do. The firemen were using their axes to try and pry the escalator apart, but it just wasn’t working. Finally they brought some “machinery” to basically cut away the teeth of the escalator and break the escalator apart. The poor dog was actually pretty calm, aside from the occasional heart-wrenching screeching crying sound it made.
We stood there for 20+ minutes before they finally got the little pup free. They legit had to saw away at the escalator so that when the dog was freed, part of the escalator was still stuck to his toenails. We didn’t want to leave until they got the dog out because we just needed to see the happy ending to that.
I felt really bad for the dog’s owner, but honestly people, why would you let your dog go on an escalator?? The thing weighed about 2 pounds and the woman could have easily picked it up and carried it. Or gone up the stairs. His paws were so tiny, plus he had long hair, which also could have easily gotten stuck. I guess she must have learned her lesson (hopefully). But I have to wonder if the city of Boston will be charging her for all of the chaos she caused. And I hope there were no major fires anywhere near by since Boston’s firemen were pretty much all at North Station rescuing a dog from the escalator.
Ugh, I would be a really horrible paparazzi since I basically feel like crap invading people’s privacy to take pictures of them in their times of distress. But I managed a few discrete camera phone shots. It was a really sad site though and I didn’t want to make light of the incident and be that obnoxious person with the camera. I wish I could have shown you how cute the little dog was. I hope he gets extra treats tonight!

I loved that Stephen King was shown “watching” game #1. He was actually sitting there at Fenway Park reading a book and didn’t even notice that the camera was on him. HA. Though I kind of understand. The Sox were winning so ridiculously much that it was slightly boring. But still, he should know it’s the Red Sox, anything can happen. Hope he wasn’t reading a book during game 2. That game was a horror story in itself.
The Greatest Bar serves Van Gogh Vodka, which comes in amazing flavors like double espresso, coconut, and black cherry. Who knew.
It was the cutest thing ever that James Taylor announced the starting lineup for game 2. He’s adorable and though he was slightly awkward (or kind of really awkward), he seemed to be happy about it. Is there anyone who doesn’t love James Taylor? Or JT as Joe Buck was calling him…weird. I’m not sure there’s room for more than one JT in the music industry.
My mom called me at 8 and asked what I was doing. I said I just turned the game on. “Who’s winning?” she asked. I told her it hadn’t even started yet. “Yes it did; it started at 5:00!” she told me. She said she had watched part of it and when she stopped watching in the fifth inning, the score was 5-5. For a second I thought I missed the whole game, but then I realized she was legit crazy (watching ESPN Classic?? Seriously, who knows). Anyway, it kind of freaked me out that come the fifth inning, we were tied 5-5, even if it was just for a minute. WTF channel was she watching? The psychic network??
So, see where all of my supporting of Trot got us?? Oops. I didn’t even think he was going to play; not to mention, make the play that pretty much ended the game for us. Not cool! But I still say, if it had to happen, I’m glad it was Trot who hit it and not anyone else. I think most people would agree with me on that. Maybe I need to really retire my shirt now…Boo.
I will be missing game #3 since I’ll be at the Maroon 5 concert. Kind of sad since it will be a big game; but I’m super psyched to see Maroon 5. When we bought the tickets over the summer October seemed soo far away. I cannot believe how fast time flies. I am constantly amused and frightened by this.
Off to bed where I can sleep a full night without dogs all over me and without having to get up every 2 hours to take a puppy out. Life is fabulous.
