Everyone Loves a Boston Girl

My T driver tonight thought it would be fun to ring the T bell non-stop practically the whole ride home. He said, to no one in particular, “When I was a kid, I always wanted to ring the bell and I couldn’t. Now I’m 31 and I can ring the bell all I want!” and ring the bell he did. I’m happy for him that he can ring the bell whenever he wants to ring the bell, but it made for a pretty annoying ride home.

Also, maybe it’s just me, but the Hynes Convention Center T announcement really bugs me. Ever since they took away the ICA, it just seems like something’s missing. The recorded announcer says, “Hynes Convention Center….” and just leaves it hanging. Sometimes I get the urge to just yell out “ICA!” because it feels so awkward. They need to change the announcement to “Hynes Convention Center.” with a period at the end, instead of an ellipses that leaves us waiting for more.
